André van Duin, stage name of Adrianus Marinus Kyvon (Rotterdam, 20 February 1947) is a Dutch comedian, revue artist, singer, actor, director, presenter, lyricist and program maker. In 2017, Algemeen Dagblad called him 'more than half a century the Netherlands' greatest comedian'.
Van Duin has been recording singles from the start of his career. De tamme boerenzoon (1974), Willempie (1976), 'k Heb hele grote bloemkole (1979), Nederland die heeft de bal (1980), Er staat een paard op de gang (1981), Als je huilt / Bim bam ( 1982).
This song 'Als je huilt (If you cry) was a number one hit for Andrévan Duin in the summer of 1982 in the Netherlands.
It is a cover of Johnnie Ray's hit song 'Cry', written by Churchill L. Kohlman.
