A Lust to Kill | COLORIZED | Full Western Movie | Old Cowboy Film | Wild West
Colorized Classic Western Film: A Lust to Kill - A cowboy escapes from jail with the help of his girlfriend, and goes after the men he believes are responsible for his brother being shot down by lawmen. A Lust to Kill (1958) Director: Oliver Drake Writers: Tom Hubbard Stars: Jim Davis, Don Megowan, Allison Hayes Genre: Western Country: USA Language: English Release Date: August 1958 (USA) Also Known As: Border Lust Filming Locations: Universal Studios - 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, California, USA Storyline: A cowboy escapes from jail with the help of his girlfriend, and goes after the men he believes are responsible for his brother being shot down by lawmen. Reviews: "Cheney Holland (Don Megowan) is a man with issues, that's for sure! He's not the typical villain either....more like a berserker than anything else...attacking and killing with little real motivation other than he likes to kill and seems to feel entitled to do it for the least little thing. When the story begins, a gang of bandits have just stolen a shipment of guns and ammo. The posse is close behind and they shoot Cheney's brother. Instead of running for cover like the rest of the gang, he stays behind with his dying brother...and is soon apprehended. Marshall Gordon (Jim Davis) has some sympathy for Cheney. After all, they grew up together and he realizes the man isn't all bad. This is a HUGE mistake, as at the funeral for Cheney's brother, Cheney makes his escape and kills a man for little reason. He then feels his mission in life is getting retribution for his brother...a man killed committing a robbery! In fact, Cheney is such a mess that he even attacks his old gang!! What's to become of him....and what's the Marshall going to do to redeem himself? This is an unusual western...and that's its biggest plus. On the negative side, the Marshall seems a bit dim and difficult to understand at times...and the story was pretty predictable after Cheney went on his killing rampage. But considering it was a cheap film made for very little, it provides a decent return on its investment." White Feather | Robert Wagner | Ranch Movie | Western | Cowboys | Indians
Old Western Movie: White Feather - In 1877 Wyoming, during the peace negotiations between the Cheyenne and the USA, an Indian girl falls in-love with a land surveyor, causing the ire of her Cheyenne fiance. White Feather (1955) Director: Robert D. Webb (as Robert Webb) Writers: Delmer Daves (screenplay), Leo Townsend (screenplay) Stars: Robert Wagner, Jeffrey Hunter, John Lund Genres: History, Western Country: USA Language: English Release Date: 16 February 1955 (USA) Also Known As: The Challenge Filming Locations: Fort Laramie National Historic Site - 965 Gray Rocks Road, Fort Laramie, Wyoming, USA Storyline: The story of the peace mission from the US cavalry to the Cheyenne Indians in Wyoming during the 1870s. The mission is threatened when a civilian surveyor befriends the chief's son and falls for the chief's daughter. Written by Col Needham col@imdb.com Review: This is a truly epic Western - epic in the moral sense: It operates as a great ceremony, a funeral ode for a great people, and the Homeric nobility of their doomed warrior heroes. The whole film sweeps majestically along with the native Americans to the bitter end of their doomed civilisation, and all the distracting side-plots are merely adumbrated at the margins of the action. The U.S. Cavalry, too, is given its due meed of admiration for the honest professionalism of its best soldiers, and the finest representatives of its military tradition. In this, Webb's film is reminiscent of a John Ford Cavalry Western. But it has something else: The awareness of a 'great game' - almost in the sense this term was applied by the English to their Imperial adventure ? being played out with mutual honour and respect, even admiration and fondness, between the great rivals for possession of an entire Continent. This is a truly great film, unblemished by the jittery special pleading of Hollywood that bespeaks the unacknowledged guilt of the American White Man. This is a sincere film - not a film of gestures: It is, as I began by saying, a grand Ceremony. And in the Ceremony is the aching sense of the loss of a Great Game which conferred greatness upon all who were brave enough to participate on equal terms. Trigger Happy AKA The Deadly Companions - An ex-army officer accidentally kills a woman's son and tries to make up for it by escorting the funeral procession through dangerous Indian territory. The Deadly Companions (1961) Director: Sam Peckinpah Writers: Albert Sidney Fleischman (screenplay) (as A.S. Fleischman), Albert Sidney Fleischman (novel) (as A.S. Fleischman) Stars: Maureen O'Hara, Brian Keith, Steve Cochran Genres: Adventure | Western Country: USA Language: English Release Date: 10 July 1962 (West Germany) Also Known As: New Mexico Filming Locations: Sonoran Desert, Arizona, USA Storyline: The Civil War Yankee sergeant Yellowleg saves the cheater Turkey from hanging after a card game, and together with Turk's gunslinger buddy Billy Keplinger, they ride together to Gila City with the intention of heisting a bank. When other bandits rob a store, Yellowleg shoots at the outlaws and accidentally kills the son of the cabaret dancer Kit Tilden and the grieving woman decides to bury her son in the town of Siringo in Apache country where her husband is buried. Yellowleg Enlists Billy and Turkey to escort Kitty and the coffin through the dangerous land. Reviews: "Peckinpah's first feature film is an understated, yet solid, Western. The film stars Brian Keith (who had worked with Peckinpah on The Westerner television series) as "Yellowleg", a gunman who escorts a dancehall girl (O'Hara) across the desert in order to bury her recently deceased son alongside the boy's father. Their journey is complicated by unfriendly Indians as well as Yellowleg's treacherous partners (played by Chill Wills and Steve Cochran). This movie has an excellent cast, beautiful scenery and a good story. Although Sam Peckinpah declared himself dissatisfied, "L'office des communications sociales du Canada" gave this movie a (3) rate, which means "very good". That's perfectly just. Unfortunately, it's not disponible on video. But sometimes it's diffused on TV. Just last night, the CFCF channel showed this film and so I taped it. So if ever you see this movie, don't miss it." Written by Mort-13 on IMDb.com "It's time this movie took its rightful place in Peckinpah's career. Some discussions of the director don't even mention it, and I suspect that's partly because of its relative unavailability. At least it needs to be seen before making generalizations about his treatment of women, as O'Hara's character is his only strong dramatic female character (echoed later by Stella Stevens' good-time gal in the whimsical Ballad of Cable Hogue). It also shows his gentle, lyrical side in a serious context, which is an important counterweight to the brutality he's famous for. And it might provide a point of entry for those who otherwise find his work off-putting." Ballad of Death Valley | WESTERN Movie in Full Length | Free YouTube Movie | HD 01:38:59
Ballad of Death Valley | WESTERN Movie in Full Length | Free YouTube Movie | HD
Western Movie in Full Length: Ballad of Death Valley - An 'angel-faced' gunfighter is tasked with infiltrating a ranch overrun by Mexican bandits and saving their hostages, including the fiancée of the local sheriff. Ballad of Death Valley (1965): Director: Duccio Tessari Writer: Duccio Tessari (screenplay) Stars: Giuliano Gemma, Fernando Sancho, Lorella De Luca Runtime: 1h 38min Genres: Action, Drama, Western Country: Italy | Spain Language: English Release Date: 2 September 1966 (West Germany) Also Known As: A Pistol for Ringo Storyline: Finished in prison for having killed three men while he is playing the bell, in a legitimate defense, Ringo is freed to infiltrate between the bandits by Sancho who was being robbed, he was barricaded on Clyde's farm. Ringo, called Faccia d'Angelo, asks for 30 percent of the booty for the company, then, having arrived at the farm, revealing everything to Sancho, getting away with the loot to bring him and his cronies to safety ... Reviews "A Pistol for Ringo" is an above-average Spaghetti Western. The anti-hero (Gemma) and villain (Sancho) are both very charismatic, and each has a good sense of humor. The basic plot situation is interesting: Fleeing from a bank hold-up in which their leader was wounded, a gang of bandits takes refuge at a farm. Although the farm is surrounded, the posse cannot attack because of the hostages. The anti-hero is highly paid to infiltrate and destroy the gang, and recover the money. The film has some unusual twists; for example, the bandits are executing two hostages per day, even after the anti-hero joins the gang, and he makes no effort to halt the executions. There is an interesting contrast between the behavior of the anti-hero (Gemma) and the sheriff (Martin) who behaves like a traditional Western hero. The film has a nice music score by Ennio Morricone. But somehow, this film failed to fully satisfy this viewer. The heroine is dull and bland, too much of the film takes place at the farm, and the anti-hero kills the villain in an absurd manner. There are also some gaps of logic-why didn't the bandits lock the sheriff in his jail? In any event, the film was such a financial success that the seven principal actors were reunited in "The Return of Ringo" (a sequel in name only, since all characters were different). This review of "A Pistol for Ringo" is based on the (poorly) English-dubbed home video version, titled "Ballad of Death Valley." The video suffers greatly from lack of widescreen; for example, the first shootout has Ringo against four opponents at once, but all you can see on the TV screen is Ringo and one of the opponents, so you don't even know who drew first. If you want to see this film, try to see it in widescreen. written by bruce3 ···················································································· FOLLOW US! ✘ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Grjngo_com SUPPORT US! ✘ Merchandise - https://bit.ly/2FLB0sV MORE MOVIES! ► Classics: https://bit.ly/2CBLt8c ► Spaghetti Western: https://bit.ly/2CyCe8I ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/2EOOfIH #westernmovies #grjngo #freewestern ···················································································· COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Western Movie | Utah Blaine | COLORIZED | Full Western Movie | Ranch Film | Wild West
Colorized Western Film: Utah Blaine - Gunslinger Utah Blaine rescues rancher Joe Neal from lynching by vigilante land-grabbers and runs afoul of vigilante leader Russ Nevers' interests. Utah Blaine (1957) Director: Fred F. Sears Writers: Louis L'Amour(novel), Robert E. Kent(screenplay) Stars: Rory Calhoun, Susan Cummings, Angela Stevens Genre: Western Country: USA Language: English Release Date: 1 February 1957 (USA) Duration: 72 min Filming Location: Sonora, California, USA Storyline: When Utah Blaine rescues Joe Neal from being lynched by a pack of land-grabbing vigilantes, Joe hires Utah has his ranch foreman. Aided at first by only a fellow gunslinger, Utah gradually rallies the townsman to his cause for a climatic showdown with Russ Nevers, his murderous henchman Rink Witter and their pack of range-wolves. Reviews: "Rory Calhoun proved himself an action hero, a two-gun action hero, in this fast-moving, and often exciting minor A Western. And he had to prove himself so with such an excellent cast of first-rate players. His female lead was the beautiful -- although outrageously padded -- Susan Cummings, who also proved herself a first-rate actress who should have many more first-rate parts. Her character was a strong and courageous woman, a type not seen often enough in any film but perhaps especially so in Westerns, where they mostly are present to be rescued or protected. This Western heroine wields a shotgun and drives off the bad guys if they get too close. Max Baer, the boxing champ, was another excellent actor and I had never seen him in a Western. He should have had his own series, playing the big and strong hero. He shows himself fully capable of it in this film. Ray Teal is such a strong personality he almost steals "Utah Blaine" from its star -- and he plays the chief bad guy! This is a striking performance, and proof positive Mr. Teal could have played any kind of role. Director Fred Sears leads his cast and crew admirably, and also proves himself a first-rate director, deserving of bigger-budget pictures and respect. "Utah Blaine" was completely unknown to me before I accidentally found it at YouTube, and I am completely recommending it."-Written by morrisonhimself on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) Utah Blaine Australia Utah Blaine Belgium (French title) Le Traquenard des Sans-Loi Brazil Três Amigos Implacáveis Canada (English title) Utah Blaine France Le Traquenard des Sans-Loi Ireland (English title) Utah Blaine Italy Il pistolero dell'Utah Portugal Homens Diabólicos Romania Utah Blaine Sweden (theatrical title) Revolverligan UK Utah Blaine USA Utah Blaine ✘ Website: https://www.grjngo.com FOLLOW US! ✘ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/grjngo_westernmovies ✘ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Grjngo_com SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - https://bit.ly/2V63h4q ✘ Merchandise - https://bit.ly/2FLB0sV MORE MOVIES! ► Classics: https://bit.ly/2CBLt8c ► Spaghetti Western: https://bit.ly/2CyCe8I ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/2EOOfIH #westernmovies #freemovies #spaghettiwesterns COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Classic Cowboy Film: Days of Violence - During the last months of the Civil War, Joe's brother is unjustly killed by Clifford, a captain in the Northen army. Days of Violence (1967) Director: Alfonso Brescia (as Al Bradley) Writers: Mario Amendola (screenplay), Antonio Boccaci Stars: Peter Lee Lawrence, Beba Loncar, Luigi Vannucchi Genre: Western Country: Italy Language: English Release Date: 31 May 1968 (West Germany) Also Known As: Days of Violence Storyline: During the last months of the Civil War, Joe's brother is unjustly killed by Clifford, a captain in the Northen army. Joe decides to join a group of Southerners determined to resist till the end. Reviews: "Missouri during the Civil War. Yankee captain Clifford and southern cowboy Johs are fighting to win the heart of the blond daughter of rancher Evans. Average spaghetti western with good music by Bruno Nicolai and a great role for Nello Pazzafini as the rebel leader, whereas Peter Lee Lawrence performs rather wooden as the hero Johs, and the story becomes a bit tedious. Especially blondy is so irresolute in her wishes that you wouldn't believe men are fighting to the death for her. Voted 4/10." Spaghetti Western Star George Hilton starring in 1968 Western Comedy: Trusting Is Good... Shooting Is Better - Cowboy Movie - A robbery gone awry due to the death of the bandit leader has three of the robbers trying to obtain the loot. Word gets out and others join the scramble for the cash. Trusting Is Good... Shooting Is Better (1968) Director: Osvaldo Civirani Writers: Tito Carpi (screenplay), Tito Carpi (story) Stars: George Hilton, Sandra Milo, John Ireland Genres: Comedy | Western Country: Italy Language: English Release Date: 2 April 1971 (West Germany) Also Known As: Dead for a Dollar Storyline: Three bandits — the Colonel (John Ireland), the Portugese (Piero Via) and Roy Fulton (Gordon Mitchell) – rob a bank of $200,000. But Roy double crosses the other two men and buries the loot in the grave that’s supposed to contain his body. Gut-shot in the get-away, Roy sends a young man he’s befriended off to fetch a doctor. Instead, as Roy lies dying, Glenn (George Hilton) heads back to the grave for the money. Instead of the loot, he finds Roy’s body. And so begins the chase for the $200,000, or a share of it. Portugese and the Colonel swindle one another. Glenn tries to swindle them both. Then there’s a banker who was in on the original robbery. Not to mention a pretty blonde named Liz (Sandra Milo), who will cuddle up with anyone if it means getting closer to the money. Written by Mark Franklin on http://onceuponatimeinawestern.com Reviews: "Man, Italians Westerns that are as average as this are hard to find. Mostly there's either a huge body count, some nice stylistic touches, or some over the top gun play to keep you going. This one, starring George Hilton (of Dinner with a vampire and Raiders of Atlantis), John Ireland (of Run Man Run and an episode of the Littlest Hobo) and George Mitchell (of Frankenstein 80 and Achtung! The Desert Tigers) kinds of keeps going over the same ground until the film ends. What I mean is, you've got the usual bunch of folk after some gold (like Run Man Run) who keep double crossing each other or forging unlikely alliances (which happens so often in spaghetti westerns that it actually defies conventional mathematics by occurring in 107% of spaghetti westerns! How is that even possible?. However, this film just keeps doing that over and over and over again with little or no variation. Seriously. Someone has the gold hidden somewhere, others get together to get it, there's maybe a shoot out or a punch up, the gold ends up somewhere else, repeat until the non-ending. I've watched a lot of Italian Westerns, and this is only the second that wasn't that great. It gets points for George Hilton being good (as usual), some nice comedic scenes, but that's about it. Put this way low on your 'watch list'." Written by Bezenby on IMDb.com. Also Known As (AKA): (original title): T'ammazzo!... Rustlers on Horseback | Classic Western | Allan Lane | Old Cowboy Movie | Wild West
Old Western Movie: Rustlers on Horseback - The people around the town of Sloan Junction think that George Parradine is just a harmless book salesman, but he heads a gang of crooks planning to rob and pillage on a large scale. Rustlers on Horseback (1950) Director: Fred C. Brannon Writers: Richard Wormser Stars: Allan Lane, Black Jack, Eddy Waller Genre: Western Country: USA Language: English Release Date: 23 October 1950 (USA) Duration: 60 min Storyline: The people around the town of Sloan Junction think that George Parradine is just a harmless book salesman, but he heads a gang of crooks planning to rob and pillage on a large scale. Their base of operations is the Reynolds ranch acquired by Parradine's front man, Leo Straykin, after killing the former owner. Needing money to finance their plan, they have rigged a scheme to cheat easterner Josh Taylor out of the $125,000 he is carrying to invest in the Reynolds ranch for a large group of people who want to settle there. To help check the titles and boundaries, Taylor has brought along a lawyer, Kenneth Jordan, and a surveyor, Johnny Bennett, who is really Jack Reynolds, the son of the former owner who is trying to find out who murdered his father. Circumstances permit undercover Marshal Rocky Lane to join the outlaw gang as a gunman, and with him is his sidekick, Nugget Clark, an itinerant patient medicine peddler. Rocky is working to uncover the identity of the head man, and his efforts are hampered when Jack Reynolds tries to kill Straykin from ambush. Reviews: "By sheer circumstance, marshal Rocky Allan Lane goes undercover when the outlaws mistake him as a hired hand they are waiting for. The outlaw headed by Roy Barcroft plans to illegal sell the ranch to Taylor. Another thrilling Allan Lane western, though it's a bit more slower with more emphasis on plot. The shootout finale is suitably climatic. The story can be confusing and the "unknown leader" angle could have been done better, but it's still an entertaining western."-Written by coltras35 on IMDb.com "Rustlers On Horseback has a bit more plot to it than the usual B western from Republic. US Marshal Rocky Lane through a streak of good fortune has his prisoner killed by outlaws and then is mistaken for that prisoner. Which allows him to infiltrate the gang his prisoner was traveling to join for a bit of undercover work. Good thing too because the outlaw gang that Roy Barcroft leads has quite a scheme in mind for a place that Barcroft murdered the owner to acquire. It makes a perfect hideout for an outlaw gang. But there is also Forrest Taylor who is bringing over a $100,000.00 to buy parcels of land for a new settlement. The idea is to steal his money and keep the ranch. And Barcroft is the muscle, there's a different guy who is doing the planning. As these type westerns were meant for the Saturday matinée kid crowd usually the emphasis is on action. Action there is, but this one also has an interesting story line for us older kids as well."-Written by bkoganbing on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) Rustlers on Horseback Brazil O Rancho da Discórdia USA Rustlers on Horseback ✘ Website: https://www.grjngo.com FOLLOW US! ✘ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/grjngo_westernmovies ✘ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Grjngo_com SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - https://bit.ly/2V63h4q ✘ Merchandise - https://bit.ly/2FLB0sV MORE MOVIES! ► Classics: https://bit.ly/2CBLt8c ► Spaghetti Western: https://bit.ly/2CyCe8I ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/2EOOfIH #westernmovies #freemovies #westernmovie COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Molly And Lawless John (1972 American Western, Full Length, English, HD) *free full moves*
Full Western Movie, Full Length Cowboy Film, English: 1972 Molly and Lawless John, American Western, English, US. Cast: Gary Nelson Writer: Terry Kingsley-Smith Producer: Dennis Durney Camera: Charles F. Wheeler Music: Johnny Mandel Molly Parker (Vera Miles) is married to the sheriff of an American frontier town. She finds herself dangerously drawn to a condemned prisoner, Johnny Lawler (Sam Elliott), in her husband's jail. He perceives her restlessness, flatters her, and tells her of his unhappy childhood. That night Molly’s husband threatens her and is scornful when she tries to talk to him about them having a baby. She breaks John out of jail and they ride off together. She has fallen in love with him, but after they get away it becomes increasingly clear that he cares for her only as long as she can help him escape the posse pursuing him. He boasts to her about the lies he told to win her sympathy. When surprised by the posse he takes flight and abandons her, but she follows him and after they get away he explains his actions in a way she accepts. While in hiding they come across a dying Indian woman with a newborn baby. John wants to get rid of the infant, saying they are already too short of food and water, but Molly insists that they look after the child. She leaves the baby with him while she goes into town for supplies, and he takes care of the baby affectionately while she is gone. The other reason for her going to town is to deliver a message to John’s girlfriend, Dolly (Cynthia Myers). Molly brings her back to the hideout shack, and John and Dolly have a romantic reunion while Molly waits outside with the baby. After the girlfriend leaves to make plans for her and John to escape to Mexico, Molly rides back into town with the baby. When she returns, the posse secretly follows her to their hideout. A shootout follows and John and Molly again escape, with the baby. Once they are safely away an angry John asks Molly how the posse knew to follow her. Under his insistent questioning she admits that while in town she had the baby baptized in John’s name. A livid John is about to take out his fury on the baby, but before he can do anything violent Molly shoots him. She drapes his dead body over a horse, and, with the baby, rides back to her husband’s town. She tells the deputy who approaches her she claims the reward for having recaptured John, that he took her hostage when he escaped and held her captive ever since. ************** COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Reviews: "Mystery man John Wayne assists Sheriff George (pre-Gabby) Hayes in his search for polka-dot bandit Yakima Canutt and in the course of the investigation, uncovers a plot by a crooked mining company to steal land from innocent property owners. Blue Steel is quite possibly the best film Wayne made during his tenure as a Lone Star/Monogram Pictures contract star, helped along by some great camera work, editing, and excellent use of locations, as well as some nice work by legendary stuntman Canutt. Man, Pride & Vengeance | WESTERN ROMANCE MOVIE | Action | Spaghetti Western | Wild West
Free Western Movie: Man, Pride & Vengeance - Spaghetti Western - A stalwart Spanish soldier turns to a life of crime to prove his love for a mysterious and promiscuous gypsy woman. Man, Pride & Vengeance (1967) Director: Luigi Bazzoni Writers: Prosper Mérimée (based on a story by), Luigi Bazzoni (adaptation) Stars: Tina Aumont, Franco Nero, Klaus Kinski Genres: Action | Drama | Romance | Western Country: Italy | West Germany Language: English Release Date: 11 October 1968 (West Germany) Also Known As: Man, Pride & Vengeance Filming Locations: Tabernas, Almeria, Andalucia, Spain Storyline: In 19th century Spain, young sergeant Don José falls in-love with beautiful gypsy girl Conchita who works inside the military fort in a small workshop. There she gets in a fight with another woman and tries to stab her with a knife. Arrested, she is entrusted to Don José who must escort her to the police station in town. However, clever Conchita gives Don José the slip. Because of her escape, he is demoted to private and must pull additional guard duty. One night, Conchita shows up at the fort to see Don José who's on guard duty. While she apologizes to him and seduces him, she also distracts his attention from a small group of smugglers who enter the fort. Don José is furious and goes to see Conchita at her friend's place. Unfortunately, Conchita is there with a gentleman lover, an officer. In a fit of jealousy, Don José loses his head and punches the officer who falls and dies. Don José deserts the army and runs away with Conchita. She takes him to a gypsy camp where many smugglers live. Conchita and Don José plan to save money and board passage on a ship bound for a new life in America. In the camp appears one man, former Lt. Miguel Garcia, who has just been released from prison. A shocked Don José learns that Miguel Garcia is Conchita's husband... Reviews: "This is an adaption of the classic novel Carmen which puts the main characters into a Spaghetti Western setting, but instead of yet another Spaghetti Western director Luigi Bazzoni created a brooding drama full of psychological tension and visually spectacular sequences. If you are looking for an action movie, look somewhere else, although the movie does contain a very well photographed chase sequence. Franco Nero again proves to be a great actor and Tina Aumont does a splendid job, too. Klaus Kinski is typecast as the crazy villain again and he again plays this part very well. Look out for the guest appearance of the Austrian Burgschauspieler Karl Schönböck! Carlo Rustichelli's score matches the movie perfectly since it's a lavish mix of operatic music and brooding low-key pieces. (Get the soundtrack CD released by CAM!) Only a heavily cut version made it to the German cinemas and again it was tried to sell a movie as yet another adventure of Django, which is even more nonsensical if the literary source of this movie is considered." The Desperate Mission | Ricardo Montalbán | Action Western | Cowboy Movie
Western Movie in Full Length: The Desperate Mission - A man who has lost everything joins others paid to convey a wealthy man's wife - and a mysterious treasure - to safety in San Francisco. The Desperate Mission (1969) Director: Earl Bellamy Writers: Richard Collins, Jack Guss Stars: Ricardo Montalban, Slim Pickens, Roosevelt Grier Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama, Western Country: United States Language: English Also Known As: Joaquin Murieta Release Date: 20 November 1969 (USA) Filming Location: Durango, Mexico Storyline: 19th Century figure Joaquin Murietta is a formerly wealthy and respected California landowner. However, he has lost his land, his wife, and everything else he held dear. Embittered and questioning his previous faith in God and man, he joins a disparate group of men hired to convey a wealthy man's wife away from the bandit-ridden countryside to safety in San Francisco. Murietta discovers that the convoy is also carrying a treasure of great material and religious value. He finds himself challenged to decide what he believes, and what he should do, in the face of threats to himself, to the convoy, and to the people of southern California. Reviews: "This early TV movie is very enjoyable, starring Ricardo Montalban as the real life Joaquin Murrieta and it basically fictionalized story of how he was hired by Anthony Caruso to a scorched his wife Ina Balin to San Francisco along with a statue of the holy mother. There is betrayal afoot among the wagon train, and that risks the journey which has enough problems to deal with anyway. Slim Pickens and Earl Holliman give good performances as does Miriam Colon as Balin's maid who isn't as loyal as she seems. Then there's football hero Rosie Grier as a slave owned by Caruso, and he is surprisingly a better actor than you'd expect. While the story is obviously fiction, it's a good viewpoint of the days of early California, free from Spain, and basically open to grab from anybody who has the strength to grab it. An early encounter between Montalban and Holliman is quite humorous, with Holliman thinking he's got the better of Montalban but quite wrong. There's plenty of action, lots of thrills, and decent performances. Pickens gets some real material, proving that he is much more than just a comical cowboy. Montalban as usual is filled with charm and romance and humor, and always a joy to watch." - written by "mark.waltz" on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) The Desperate Mission Belgium (French title) Joaquin Murieta, le rebelle Belgium (Flemish title) Joaquin Murieta, de rebel Brazil Joaquim Murieta Canada (English title) The Desperate Mission Canada (French title) Le Rebelle France Joaquin Murieta, le rebelle Italy La mano della vendetta Portugal Joaquim Murieta Romania Misiunea disperata Spain Misión desesperada UK Joaquin Murieta USA (alternative title) Joaquin Murietta USA The Desperate Mission West Germany Das Gold der Madonna ✘ Website: https://www.grjngo.com FOLLOW US! ✘ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/grjngo_westernmovies ✘ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Grjngo_com SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - https://bit.ly/2V63h4q ✘ Merchandise - https://bit.ly/2FLB0sV MORE MOVIES! ► Classics: https://bit.ly/2CBLt8c ► Spaghetti Western: https://bit.ly/2CyCe8I ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/2EOOfIH #westernmovies #freemovies #westernmovie COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Death Is Sweet from the Soldier of God | Brad Harris | Spaghetti Western | Cowboy Film 01:20:48
Death Is Sweet from the Soldier of God | Brad Harris | Spaghetti Western | Cowboy Film
Spaghetti Western in Full Length: Death Is Sweet from the Soldier of God - A former sheriff, after being accused of a robbery and escaping from jail with a revolutionary bandit, seeks revenge for his brother and his family. Death Is Sweet from the Soldier of God (1972) Director: Roberto Mauri (as Robert Johnson) Writers: Roberto Mauri (story), Roberto Bianchi Montero (story) (as Roberto Montero) Stars: Brad Harris, José Torres, Maretta Procaccini Genre: Western Country: Italy Language: English Release Date: 2 April 1972 (Italy) Also Known As: Er säte den Tod Filming Locations: Incir De Paolis Studios, Rome, Lazio, Italy Storyline: A former sheriff, after being accused of a robbery and escaping from jail with a revolutionary bandit, seeks revenge for his brother and his family. Reviews: "Brad Harris had signed a contract for three westerns with a production company called Three Stars, but only two of the three movies were completed, Wanted Sabata and Arriva Durango, Paga o Muori. This third part (See Database Page) was produced by another company, and is said to be an assembly of re-edited scenes of the first two movies, with a couple of new scenes added (*1). The film is best know for a couple of great titles (in Italian and English) plus a wonderful poster design, also used for various releases of the movie on VHS and DVD. Biggest throwback: the scene depicted on the poster, is not in the movie. Harris is Durango (Django in some versions) and he’s a former sheriff falsely accused of a robbery. He ends up in jail with a guy called Spirito Santo, who was arrested for steeling money he needed for the revolution and his poor family at home in Mexico - at least that’s what he says (he also pretends to be one-eyed). The two are sprung out of jail by a mystery man and subsequently join a gang of Mexicans who are looking for the stolen strongbox: Durango to prove his innocence, Santo to collect money for the revolution. We also get a vengeance tale, with Durango looking for the man who killed his brother and his wife. As one might expect from an assembly movie, Death is Sweet ... doesn’t hang together. The vengeance tale is particularly stupid: Durango tracks down the killer and takes his revenge, but an earlier scene clearly showed that this man - played by Vassili Karis - was not responsible for the slayings; when he arrived on the spot, Durango’s relatives were already dead and he has been trying to eliminate Durango ever since, because he - Durango - would never believe that he was innocent. What nonsense! Is the movie worth tracking down? Harris is his usual self, steady as a rock and acting like one, but the patchwork seems to hurt Torres' performance: In Arriva Durango ... his hyperactive style worked well in combination with Harris' stoicism, but here his character has no consistency and his overzealous routines - invoking la madre de Dios every other minute or so - quickly become annoying. For completists only. But that poster is a killer." Written by Simon Gelten on spaghetti-western.net. Also Known As (AKA): (original title): Seminò morte... lo chiamavano il Castigo di Dio! My Outlaw Brother | COLORIZED | Action | Classic Western Movie | Mickey Rooney
Colorized Old Western Movie: Two brothers with a strong bond on a jurney through Mexico: My Outlaw Brother - Book adaptation "South of the Rio Grande" - A young man travels to Mexico in search of his brother, who has become involved with a dangerous gang. My Outlaw Brother (1951) Director: Elliott Nugent Writer: Gene Fowler Jr.(screenplay), Alfred Lewis Levitt(additional dialogue), Max Brand(book "South of the Rio Grande") Stars: Mickey Rooney, Wanda Hendrix, Robert Preston Genre: Action, Western, Romance Country: USA, Mexico Language: English Also Known As: My Brother, the Outlaw Filming Location: Estudios Tepeyac, Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico Storyline: At the turn of the century, Denny O'Moore Mickey Rooney), is en route from his New York City home to Texas, to pay his brother Patrick (Robert Stack) a surprise visit at the latter's silver mine across the Mexico border. Denny meets Texas Ranger Joe Waldner (Robert Preston), who suspects that Patrick is involved with the notorious Mexican bandit El Tigre. Denny and Waldner are captured by El Tigre's henchmen but escape. Denny appeals to Carmel Alvarado (Wanda Hendrix), Patrick's sweetheart, to try and talk Patrick into leaving El Tigre, and falls in love with her himself. The bandits, headed by the mysterious El Tigre, surround Denny, Waldner, and Carmen in an old hacienda in Mexico. Written by Les Adams on IMDb.com Reviews: A good cast helps make this crime/western feature work, and makes up for story that is usually predictable and is sometimes too implausible not to become noticeable. Mickey Rooney and Robert Preston are particularly well cast in their roles, and a relatively young Robert Stack also gets the most out of his character. Rooney plays a young New Yorker who heads to the southwest to find his brother, only to find out that his former idol has changed significantly. Rooney believably plays up the part of the tough little guy who won't be pushed around just because he's smaller than everyone else, and it adds something to many scenes. Preston fits well into the role of the straight-shooting ranger, and Stack is effective as the brother. Most of the rest of it is just adequate, although the three leads do a good job of carrying the action. José Torvay helps out in a couple of scenes, and while the sets are quite plain, they do at least set a generally believable atmosphere.
