The Red Rider - Trapped | Chapter 05 | COWBOYS | Drama | Wild West Series 20:12
The Red Rider - Trapped | Chapter 05 | COWBOYS | Drama | Wild West Series
Best Western Series from 1934 starring Grant Withers: The Red Rider - Trapped - Red Davison, the sheriff of Sun Dog, sacrifices his job and his good name to save his best friend, "Silent" Slade from the hangman's noose, following a framed-up court decision which sentences Slade to hang for the murder of Scotty McKee. The Red Rider (1934) Director: Lew Landers Writers: W.C. Tuttle, George H. Plympton Stars: Buck Jones, Grant Withers, Marion Shilling Genre: Action, Western, Drama Country: USA Language: English Release Date: 1936 (Germany) Also Known As: Der Präriereiter Filming Locations: Universal Studios - 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, California, USA Storyline: 'Red' Davidson (Buck Jones), the sheriff of Sun Dog, sacrifices his job and his good name to save his best friend, 'Silent' Slade from the hangman's noose, following a framed-up court decision which sentences Slade to hang for the murder of Scotty McKee (J.P. McGowan). Davidson allows Slade to escape from jail and follows him to aid him in proving his innocence. Reviews: "One of the better Universal western serials with a strong cast. Jones plays a sheriff whose friend played by Grant Withers,is wrongfully framed for murder. Jones lets Withers escape, resigns from his job and goes to assist in finding the real killer .Lots of fast action and plausible cliff hangers. Edmund Cobb is very good as Jones pal. Walter Miller is outstanding as the head heavy. Lew Landers directs.Red Rider is unusual in that it spends much of its time developing the characters. Jones is perfect as the easy going hero.Fifteen chapters of exciting western action.Jones was a well known western star and the Universals showcased his talent. There's a bit of everything here that a serial lover would want.Comedy, drama and most of all, hard riding action is combined to make The Red Rider a most enjoyable chapterplay. Eight stars out of ten." Written by tomwal on IMDb.com "The second of Buck Jones' five serials for Universal, and the 23rd of Universal's sound era films, falling between "The Vanishing Shadow" and "Tailspin Tommy." This one is primarily about the efforts of lawman "Red" Davidson(Buck Jones)to save his friend "Silent" Slade (Grant Withers)from being hanged for a crime he didn't commit. It has the usual cliff-hanger endings and is padded far beyond the limits of W.C. Tuttle's original pulp-magazine story, "The Redhead from Sun Dog", in order to get 15 chapters out of what is basically a 60-minute feature-length plot. But, being based on a story by one of the better western writers of the era, it is also filled with fleshed-out characters far from the one-dimension type found in most serials of the time, and not at all in those of the 40's and 50's. Both Jones and Withers are furnished with love interests---the lovely Marion Shilling as "Marie Maxwell" for Jones, and Margaret La Marr as "Joan McKee" for Withers, whose second-lead (and 2nd-billed)role is close to that, in importance, of the role played by Jones. As usual, with Universal and (sometimes) Columbia serials, this one is more episodic in nature--- new plot lines get resolved within the basic plot--than those made by Republic. The latter made the best in terms of action, stunts, photography, special effects and over-all "look" of the total serial but, aside from the first and concluding chapter, everything that came in the in-between chapters looked the same." Hopalong Cassidy - The Vanishing Herd | EP24 | COLORIZED | Classic Western 25:49
Hopalong Cassidy - The Vanishing Herd | EP24 | COLORIZED | Classic Western
Colorized Western Series: Hopalong Cassidy - EP24 - The Vanishing Herd - The U.S. Army asks Hoppy to investigate when a herd of horses desperately needed for the Spanish-American War is stolen from the ranch who was supposed to supply the herd. The ranch workers insist the horses were rustled by Mexican bandits, but the Mexican authorities claim that no herd of horses crossed the U.S.-Mexican border, legal or illegal. Hopalong Cassidy (1952) Director: Derwin Abrahams Writers: Clarence E. Mulford(characters), Harrison Jacobs(screenplay) Stars: William Boyd, Edgar Buchanan, Betty Ball Genre: Family, Western Country: United States Language: English Episode Release Date: 12 December 1952 (USA) Filming Location: Walker Ranch - 19152 Placerita Canyon Road, Newhall, California, USA Reviews: "Hopalong Cassidy was before the cowboys I remember watching, but I took a chance and happy I am that I did. I have taken this set to family gatherings and we have enjoyed the series and this actor. It is written that he would not do an appearance unless it was free for ALL CHILDREN, because he felt that if it cost, many children would never have the same advantage. This concern for his fans and for the quality of his work comes through in his shows, as well as the feeling that there are good people that try to do what is right, no matter the odds. Get for your children and for yourself; you won't be disappointed especially if you liked Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and the good feelings they invoked then and still do." - written by "dgr" on amazon.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) Hopalong Cassidy Canada (English title) Hopalong Cassidy India (English title) Hopalong Cassidy Japan (Japanese title) ホパロング・キャシディ Spain Hopalong Cassidy USA Hopalong Cassidy ···················································································· FOLLOW US! ✘ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Grjngo_com SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - http://bit.ly/GrjngoWSMember MORE SERIES! ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/2SxO9ea ► Bonanza: https://bit.ly/36yMDkl ► The Cisco Kid: https://bit.ly/2Fv165B #westernseries #grjngo #western ···················································································· COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. For a Few Dollars Less | Old Western Movie | Wild West | Cowboys | English 01:33:09
For a Few Dollars Less | Old Western Movie | Wild West | Cowboys | English
Funny Western Movie produced in Italy directed by Mario Mattoli For a Few Dollars Less - Spaghetti Western - A bank clerk and his cousin, a "general", join forces to track down a Mexican outlaw. For a Few Dollars Less (1966) Director: Mario Mattoli Writers: Bruno Corbucci (story), Sergio Corbucci (story) Stars: Lando Buzzanca, Elio Pandolfi, Gloria Paul Genres: Comedy | Western Country: Italy Language: English Release Date: 11 August 1966 (Italy) Also Known As: Irren ist tödlich Storyline: A bank clerk and his cousin, a "general", join forces to track down a Mexican outlaw. Reviews: Warning: Spoilers "Long before either the Zucker brothers or the Wayans brothers forged brilliant parodies of popular movies, the Corbucci brothers Bruno and Sergio poked fun at the classic Sergio Leone Spaghetti western shoot'em up "For A Few Dollars More" with their own sagebrush send-up "For a Few Dollars Less." "Hercules in the Valley of Woe" director Mario Mattoli directed this amusing knock-off with a nimble touch and an eye for sight gags a year after the release of Leone's film. Of course, "For a Few Dollars Less" cannot compare with "For a Few Dollars More," but it boasts some hilarious moments, particularly the opening scene. If you remember, "For a Few Dollars More" unfolded with an hombre on horseback riding through the craggy desert wilderness who gets blown out of the saddle by an unseen assassin. Mattoli starts "For a Few Dollars Less" with a variation on the scene. Initially, we are shown a six-shooter aimed at an anonymous rider. The off-screen assassin misses him with his first shot and then switches to a Winchester repeating rifle. He fares no better with his second shot. Afterward, as the target still gallops toward the camera, our unseen assassin wheels out a cannon, but he cannot him even with a cannon! The imaginative opening credits that ensue rely on dolls, something never seen in an Italian western. Don't get me wrong, not everything works. Nevertheless, as parodies go, "For a Few Dollars Less" is an above-average comedy oater. The action involves the timid, second accountant of the Silver City Bank, Bill (Lando Buzzanca of "Divorce Italian Style"), who fears that he has miscounted the money at the bank and wind up going to prison. One of the funnier sound gags has Bill calculating his count by slapping himself in the head. Each time that he does this, we hear a cash register. Bill goes off in search for his cousin, Frank (Raimondo Vianello of "Twins from Texas"), who is referred to here as 'the General.' Clearly, Raimondo Vianello is imitating Lee Van Cleef's Colonel Douglas Mortimer. The first time that we see Frank, he opens his frock coat and selects an appropriate pipe from a sheathe of pipes, like the Colonel chose an appropriate firearm from a bundle that he had tied to his horse. Poor Bill is afraid that he won't get out of town without his boss at the bank, Mr. Black (Pietro Tordi), figuring out that he has bungled his accounts. Desperately, Bill goes to visit his funeral parlor girlfriend, Sally (Lucia Modugno), and concocts the perfect disguise to get out of Silver City without arousing suspicion. Bill dresses up in a poncho and Stetson so that he resembles Clint Eastwood's 'Man with No Name. The Corbuccis embellish the sight gag by having Bill drag a coffin behind his mule (like the one Clint rode in "A Fistful of Dollars"), but the joke is that Sally is riding in the casket for a ways. The coffin dragging gag is unmistakably a riff on Sergio Corbucci's own masterpiece "Django" with Franco Nero." Written by zardoz-13 on IMDb.com. Santa Fe Trail | COLORIZED WESTERN | Errol Flynn | Cowboy Movie | Wild West
Free Western Movie: Santa Fe Trail - Cowboy Movie - In 1854, Jeb Stuart, George Custer and other graduates from West Point are posted to Kansas to help pacify the territory before railroad construction to Santa Fe can resume. Santa Fe Trail (1940) Director: Michael Curtiz Writer: Robert Buckner (original screenplay) Stars: Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, Raymond Massey Genre: Western Country: USA Language: English Release Date: 13 December 1940 (USA) Filming Locations: Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA Storyline: "The story of Jeb Stuart, his romance with Kit Carson Holliday, friendship with George Custer and battles against John Brown in the days leading up to the outbreak of the American Civil War." Written by Col Needham on IDMb.com Reviews: "When you look into the face of Raymond Massey's riveting John Brown, you are looking into the face of Osama bin Laden; when you watch his band of murderous abolitionists, you are watching bin Laden's al Qaeda. Look at a photo of bin Laden while you watch Massey here - the resemblance is spooky! The righteous indignation of other reviewers at the "pro-slavery" bias of the movie misses the point. "Santa Fe Trail" is about fanaticism, not slavery. It's easy to preach to the choir, to put the fanatic on the "wrong" side. It's far more useful to put the fanatic on the side of right, as is done in "Santa Fe Trail". The evil depicted here is not the easy evil of slavery, but the more problematic evil of fanaticism. The user score for this movie is due to the Political Correctness Brigade, who can't get past their sanctimony, to pay attention to the story and think rather than react. And by the way, Ronald Reagan (and I'm a Democrat) was a fine actor and did a good job in "Santa Fe Trail," as did the rest of the cast. The most dangerous - and obnoxious - people are those convinced of their own virtue, be they Northern abolitionists, Southern racists, Muslim militants...or adolescents masquerading as movie critics." Written by jacksflicks on IMDb.com "Santa Fe Trail" is an exciting movie. It's not just the action that is exciting but the drama between the conflicting characters as well. It's a well acted movie by everyone involved, especially Raymond Massey. Massey gives such a compelling performance that after I watch "Santa Fe Trail" (once a year or so) I want to learn more about the real John Brown. Then I go to the library but the only book they have on Brown is about 600 pages long. Then I chicken out and go home." Challenge of the Frontier | COLORIZED | Classic Western Movie | Cowboys | Wild West Film
Colorized Western Film starring Randolph Scott: Challenge of the Frontier - Beasley, who is after Gayner's land, plans to kidnap his daughter. But Dale overhears their plan and kidnaps her himself. When Gayner arrives to retrieve his daughter, Beasley kills him and makes the Sheriff arrest Dale for the murder. Challenge of the Frontier (1933) Director: Henry Hathaway Writers: Zane Grey(novel), Harold Shumate(screenplay), Jack Cunningham(screenplay) Stars: Randolph Scott, Verna Hillie, Harry Carey Genre: Western Country: United States Language: English Also Known As: Man of the Forest Release Date: 25 August 1933 Reviews: "Randolph Scott who later became exclusively a western star got his first notice as a western in a series of Zane Grey films that were B films for Paramount his original studio. This is one of several Grey stories that Scott filmed at Paramount in the early Thirties. It's not one of the best ones. He's a small land owner caught between two enemies, Harry Carey, Sr. and Noah Beery, Sr. They've had a feud going for a score of years. The beautiful niece of one of them comes west and the other sees an opportunity to finally grab the other's ranch. Of course the niece falls for Scott, but he's got to do some shrew taming at first. And then Carey is killed and he's blamed for it. Noah Beery the brother of Wallace Beery played a fine line of movie villains in mostly low budget stuff like this. Here's he's a villain in the Snidely Whiplash tradition with designs on the little Nell heroine. In fairness Beery isn't given all that much to work with as his Verna Hillie the heroine. Of course this is a must for Randolph Scott fans who are a loyal bunch. It's a fine chance to see him in his younger days before those post World War II B westerns that he is now a screen legend for. By the way Scott has a pet mountain lion who plays an interesting role in his rescue from the dastardly Beery." - written by "bkoganbing" on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) Man of the Forest Austria Mädchenraub in Wildwest Brazil O Homem da Floresta Denmark Pelsjægerens Hævn Germany (Berlin film festival title) Maedchenraube in Wildwest Hungary Igazság bajnokai Japan (Japanese title) 森の男(1933) Spain El hombre del bosque UK Man of the Forest USA (reissue title) Challenge of the Frontier USA Man of the Forest ✘ Website: https://www.grjngo.com FOLLOW US! ✘ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/grjngo_westernmovies ✘ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Grjngo_com SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - https://bit.ly/2V63h4q ✘ Merchandise - https://bit.ly/2FLB0sV MORE MOVIES! ► Classics: https://bit.ly/2CBLt8c ► Spaghetti Western: https://bit.ly/2CyCe8I ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/2EOOfIH #westernmovies #freemovies #spaghettiwesterns COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. The Big Trees | Classic WESTERN Movie | Kirk Douglas | English | Free Feature Film in Full Length
Free Classic Western Movie, Full Length Cowboy Film, English: The Big Trees is a 1952 Western film starring Kirk Douglas and directed by Felix E. Feist. It was Kirk Douglas's final film for Warner Brothers, a film he did for free in exchange for the studio agreeing to release him from his long-term contract. Douglas plays a greedy timber baron who seeks to exploit the Sequoia forest, while facing the protest of the Quaker colonists. Director: Felix E. Feist (as Felix Feist) Writers: John Twist (screenplay), James R. Webb (screenplay) | 1 more credit » Stars: Kirk Douglas, Eve Miller, Patrice Wymore PLOT: In 1900, lumberman Jim Fallon (Kirk Douglas) greedily eyes the big sequoia redwood trees in the virgin region of northern California. The land is already settled by, among others, a religious group led by Elder Bixby (Charles Meredith) who have a religious relationship with the redwoods and refuse to log them, using smaller trees for lumber. Jim becomes infatuated with Bixby's daughter, Alicia (Eve Miller), though that does not change his plan to cheat the homesteaders. When Jim's right-hand man, Yukon Burns (Edgar Buchanan) finds out, he changes sides and leads the locals in resisting Jim. The locals combat Jim's loggers with a sympathetic judge with Jim fighting back by using Federal laws. Elder Bixby is killed when a big sequoia tree is chopped down by Jim's men and falls on his cabin. Jim's desperate attempt to rescue Alicia's father saves him from being convicted of murder. Meanwhile, timber rival Cleve Gregg (Harry Cording) appears on the scene, making it a three-way fight. Gregg and his partner Frenchy LeCroix (John Archer) try to assassinate Jim, but end up killing Yukon instead. Jim has a dramatic change of heart and leads the settlers in defeating Gregg and Frenchy. Afterwards, Jim marries Alicia and settles down. Town Tamer | Western Movie in Full Length | American Western | Classic Cowboy Film
Classic Western starring Dana Andrews: Town Tamer - A gunfighter is hired to clean up a wild frontier town, but there are forces afoot who want to keep the town as wide-open as it is. Town Tamer (1965) Director: Lesley Selander Writers: Frank Gruber (novel "Town Tamer") Stars: Dana Andrews, Terry Moore, Pat O'Brien Genre: Western Country: USA Language: English Release Date: 7 July 1965 (New York City, New York) Duration: 88 min Filming Location: Paramount Studios - 5555 Melrose Avenue, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA Storyline: The life of Tom Rosser, a town-taming gunman-for-hire, takes a turn when a bullet meant for him, from the gun of a renegade, Lee Ring, kill's Rosser's wife, Carol, instead. Ring, had been sent by the ruthless Kansas gang-leader, Riley Condor, to kill Rosser. The latter goes to White Plains, supposedly to look over property to but his agenda is to kill Condor. Word gets around that Rosser is in town and Condor realizes that his gunslinging henchmen, Horsinger, Tavenner, Slim Akins, Flon and Ring, are no match for Rosser, and he sets in motion a plan that will use the law to eliminate Rosser. Reviews: "In the sixties, A. C. Lyles produced a cram-session of "Old Fogey Westerns" using once leading men well past their prime, gussied-up as newly-revived leads: And like all Dana's Westerns there's either a kangaroo/rigged court or possible hanging like he and Lyles's following years' JOHNNY RENO... But here Andrews is far more loose and intrepid: a revenge-driven former gunman reanimated following wife Coleen Gray's accidental death i.e. A bullet meant for him, set up by casino-owning villain lording over another TOWN (cheating newly paid miners), using local loser DeForest Kelley to initially thwart Dana's mission to rid his decades-earlier FALLEN ANGEL rival Bruce Cabot... And the real scene-stealer is his hired gun/thug played by enigmatic rogue Lyle Bettger: As the prologue slayer of Andrews's wife Coleen Gray, the audience knows what our hero doesn't, and, since Cabot is far more crooked/deadly than his own assassin, the hired killer (posing as a Marshal) provides Andrews random advice in-step with neatly paced suspense leading to an inevitable, predictable yet above-average gun-blasting/falling-from-rooftop finale... Also, Terry Moore, as a fast-talking lass, provides a romantic interest (in a bad marriage with Kelley) more interesting than most. Making this a nifty character-driven time-filler also including Barton MacClane, Richard Jaekel, Lon Chaney Jr., Pat O'Brien, Roger Torrey (a giant baddie providing the best fist-fight)... And while not the brooding and existential, ultra-violent Spaghetti Western the genre had morphed into, TOWN TAMER, with sudden deaths around every corner, definitely isn't tame."-Written by TheFearmakers on IMDB.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) Town Tamer Austria Revolver diskutieren nicht Brazil (cable TV title) Domador de Cidades Brazil O Domador de Cidades Canada (English title) Town Tamer Denmark En gunfighter renser byen France Quand parle la poudre Germany (DVD box title) US Western und ihre Stars Germany (alternative title) Gunfighter's Revenge Greece (transliterated title) I polis ton paranomon Italy La città senza legge Japan (Japanese title) 勇者の街 Mexico El justiciero Netherlands De wet van de kogel Portugal O Libertador da Cidade Romania Îmblânzitorul de oraşe Spain La ciudad indomable Sweden Hämnd på revolverman UK Town Tamer USA Town Tamer West Germany Revolver diskutieren nicht Yugoslavia (Serbian title) (literal title) Revolveri ne diskutuju ✘ Website: https://www.grjngo.com FOLLOW US! ✘ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/grjngo_westernmovies ✘ Twitter - https://twitter.com/Grjngo_com SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - https://bit.ly/2V63h4q ✘ Merchandise - https://bit.ly/2FLB0sV MORE MOVIES! ► Classics: https://bit.ly/2CBLt8c ► Spaghetti Western: https://bit.ly/2CyCe8I ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/2EOOfIH #westernmovies #freemovies #spaghettiwesterns COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Bonanza - Return to Honor | Episode 159 | Classic Western Series | Cowboy | English
Free Western Classic: Bonanza - Episode 159 - Return to Honor - Ben gets word that his nephew Will has been murdered in nearby Pine City. Return to Honor Director: Don McDougall Writer: Jack Turley Stars: Lorne Greene, Pernell Roberts, Dan Blocker Genre: Western Country: USA Language: English Release Date: 22 March 1964 USA Filming Locations: Stage 17, Paramount Studios - 5555 Melrose Avenue, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA Storyline: Ben gets word that his nephew Will has been murdered in nearby Pine City. As it turns out, Will has been shot and wounded while on the run from a counterfeiting gang that wants back the engraving plates Will has "appropriated" from them. Reviews: "Guy Williams makes the first of several appearances as visiting nephew Will Cartwright who's something of a roving vagabond. The problem is he's roving with the wrong crowd at late and in fact Lorne Greene gets a wire from a neighboring town that Williams has been killed in a gunfight. Like Mark Twain though, the rumors of Will Cartwright's death are greatly exaggerated. He's playing dead because Arch Johnson wants him dead real bad and Williams switched identities with one of Johnson's gang. It's not just Williams being six feet under that Johnson wants. He's got an item on him that Johnson wants back very badly. Williams stayed on for a few episodes and he and Pernell Roberts have a spirited rivalry in the future for the hand of one Virginia City girl. It's Williams who gets her later and rides into the sunrise with her. Otherwise she would have been another female fatality that always happens around the Cartwrights." Ride Out for Revenge | COLORIZED | Rory Calhoun | Western Movie in Full Length
Colorized Western Film: Ride Out for Revenge - When an Indian chief is murdered in a hateful town, a sympathizing ex marshal tries to stop the Indians from attacking for revenge. Ride Out for Revenge (1957) Director: Bernard Girard Writers: Norman Retchin, Burt Arthur(novel) Stars: Rory Calhoun, Gloria Grahame, Lloyd Bridges Genre: Western Country: United States Language: English Release Date: 1 November 1957 (USA) Filming Location: Sonora, California, USA Storyline: In 1868, in the Dakotas, Cheyenne Chief Yellow Wolf and his son Little Wolf leave their destitute village and head toward the nearest army post in the town of Sand Creek. The two chiefs travel on foot because their tribe has very few horses. They intend to meet the local army commander to complain that, with winter approaching, their tribe needs warm clothing, horses and food. The Cheyenne have no firearms, as per treaty stipulations, and they cannot hunt for food. The local army commander is Captain George, a cowardly heavy-drinking U.S. Cavalry officer. He greets the two Cheyenne chiefs by saying that his main concern is not the Cheyenne's needs but the needs of his own people. He also insists that he was given orders to remove the Cheyenne from the Black Hills to a reservation in Oklahoma. Chief Yellow Wolf replies that the Black Hills region is their native home and refuses to accept the re-settlement to a reservation in Oklahoma. He is willing to offer Captain George a trade. The chief will show Captain George an area of recently discovered gold deposits in return for assurances that his tribe will not be removed from the Black Hills. Captain George reluctantly agrees to the trade, but after the two Cheyenne chiefs leave, he sends his man Garvin to shoot at Yellow Wolf in the street, in order to intimidate the chief. Unfortunatelly, Garvin shoots the chief dead. Reviews: "Some westerns portrayed the American Indians as unthinking, one- dimensional idiots--riding around in circles waiting to be picked off by folks in the wagon train or by the cavalry. Others, like this one, are more sympathetic and show these same people as multidimensional and decent. When the film begins, the local chief is murdered. This is a serious problem, as the chief was a man of peace--and the new, younger chief is more headstrong and ready for revenge. Fortunately, there is a local guy (Rory Calhoun) who understands these Indians and treats them decently--and he can diffuse the situation. But the town is a hellish place that wants no part of peace and the local cavalry commander (Lloyd Bridges) is a cowardly jerk-face. With the Indians on the warpath and Calhoun's character the only person with any common sense, things look pretty awful for this stupid town. The Indians are generally portrayed well. However, a complaint I often have is that the main Indians are played by white folks--such as Vince Edwards! So, it's like two steps forward and one step back. Overall, however, the film is interesting and presents a more balanced view of the west. The only problem is that, at times, the characters are a bit more like caricatures--a bit too one-dimensional to be believable." - written by "planktonrules" on IMDb.com Also Known As (AKA): (original title) Ride Out for Revenge Australia Ride Out for Revenge Austria Blinder Haß Belgium (French title) La Chevauchée de la vengeance Belgium (Flemish title) De rit van de wrekers Brazil A Lei do Oeste Canada (English title) Ride Out for Revenge Denmark Guldjagten i Dakota France L'or des Cheyennes Greece (transliterated title) Na ekdikithis! I Kill Them" , ¨Ciakmul¨ , ¨Gunman of Ave Maria¨ , y realizando algunos Giallos como "Death Walks at Midnight" , "The French Sex Murders" y ¨Tears of Kali¨. Free Western Movie: The Deserter - Army deserter Capt. Viktor Kaleb is offered a pardon and reinstatement in the cavalry if he agrees to lead a special forces group in a raid against an Apache stronghold into Mexico. The Deserter (1970) Directors: Burt Kennedy, Niksa Fulgosi (uncredited) Writers: Stuart J. Byrne (based on a story by), William H. James (based on a story by) Stars: Bekim Fehmiu, Richard Crenna, Chuck Connors Genre: Western Runtime: 100 min Country: Italy, Yugoslavia, USA Language: English Release Date: 25 March 1971 (West Germany) Also Known As: The Devil's Backbone Filming Locations: Almeria, Andalucia, Spain Storyline: Bitter over his wife's death due to what he believes was army negligence, Capt. Viktor Kaleb deserts the cavalry and disappears into the southwestern wasteland. But when marauding Apaches set up a stronghold just out of the cavalry's reach in Mexico, Kaleb is given amnesty in exchange for leading a small band of especially trained soldiers to wipe out the Indian stronghold. Reviews: "This is one of those rare aces of a good story told in Spartan eloquence all the way - perhaps the most admirable quality of the film is the very tense and clearcut dialog, where not one word fails to have effect. I loved this film from beginning to end and was mightily surprised by its epic splendour, since I had expected nothing but rather had had some misgivings about the killing of Indians. But this is a war story, it's about soldiers who are out there to kill and do nothing else, and although it's a spaghetti western and there are no cowboys at all, the soldiers are the more intrepid and sinister. Of course, you can't agree with the massacre of Indians, but you have to remember all through the movie that they killed and flayed his wife, and then there is the Indian boy in the end, turning the story into a very fountain of an endless wealth of food for afterthought. The story crowns them all in epic splendour making this film indeed one of the considerable westerns ever made." Classic Western Film: The Last Outpost - Despite their fighting on opposite sides during the Civil War, brothers Vance and Jeb Britton have to set their differences aside in order to survive an Indian attack. The Last Outpost (1951) Director: Lewis R. Foster Writers: Daniel Mainwaring, George Worthing Yates, Winston Miller Stars: Ronald Reagan, Rhonda Fleming, Bruce Bennett Genre: Western Country: United States Language: English Also Known As: Cavalry Charge Release Date: 4 April 1951 (USA) Filming Location: Mission San Xavier del Bac - 1950 West San Xavier Road, Tucson, Arizona, USA Storyline: Two brothers who are not the best friends because they were fighting on different sides during the Civil War have to cooperate in order to defend themselves against an attack of indians. Reviews: "Ronald Reagan in his first western is the biggest hit for Pine-Thomas Productions. Technicolor must have been invented for Rhonda Fleming's beauty and stunning auburn hair. She's married to a crooked trading post operator. What kind of man is McQuade (John Ridgely) wanting to stir up the Indians? "There no money in it for him in peaceful Indians they're not a good market for the guns and rot gut whisky he sells them." Reagan learns that not only his brother and fellow Baltimorean, Col. Jeb Britton (Bruce Bennett) is now stationed at Ft. Gil, but that his ex-fiance is there also. Noah Beery, the most beloved character actor in the business brings a needed ebullience to the part of Sgt. Calhoun. Watch Full Western Movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjIsLBbd8Ps - THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE aka Dezertorul aka Ride to Glory aka THE DESERTER, 1971, Runtime 1h 40min, Western. WIKIPEDIA: The Deserter (La Spina Dorsale Del Diavolo) is a 1970 Italian-American Western film by Dino De Laurentiis. It was directed by Burt Kennedy. Scripted in the style of The Dirty Dozen (1967), and designed as a vehicle for Yugoslavian theater and film matinee idol Bekim Fehmiu, the film featured an ensemble cast of well-known American actors. Noted as the boy in Shane (1953), actor Brandon deWilde appears in his last Western film before his death the following year. The film was shot largely on location in Italy, Spain and Yugoslavia. Many exterior scenes were filmed at the Fort Bowie set built in the Province of Almería, Spain, where the desert landscape and climate that characterizes part of the province have made it a much utilized setting for Western films, among those A Fistful of Dollars (1964), The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) and later 8 0 0 Bullets (2002). This same set was also used in the films Blindman (1971) with Ringo Starr and A Reason to Live, a Reason to Die (1972). Army deserter Capt. Viktor Kaleb is offered a pardon and reinstatement in the cavalry if he agrees to lead a special forces group in a raid against an Apache stronghold into Mexico. Directors: Burt Kennedy, Niksa Fulgosi (uncredited) Writers: Stuart J. Byrne (based on a story by), William H. James (based on a story by) Stars: Bekim Fehmiu, Richard Crenna, Chuck Connors PLOT (Wikipedia): A US Army cavalry unit returns from a 2-week patrol to find the inhabitants of an outpost near its home fort have been killed by Apache Indians. Among the victims is the savagely tortured wife of the patrol's leader, Capt. Victor Kaleb (Bekim Fehmiu). Kaleb believes part of the fault lies with the passive fort commander, Major Wade Brown (Richard Crenna). Kaleb shoots and wounds Brown, and deserts the army. He disappears into the southwestern frontier to wage a private w*ar of revenge against Apaches. Two years later General Miles (John Huston) arrives at the fort with an offer for Kaleb. The scouts Natchai (Ricardo Montalban) and Tatting (Slim Pickens), old friends of Kaleb, are sent out to entice him back to the fort. With a bit of trickery they succeed. General Miles tells Kaleb Apaches led by Chief Mangus Durango have gathered in Mexico, intending to cross the border and attack at any time. The General, over Brown’s objections, promises Kaleb amnesty in exchange for leading a select band of soldiers across the border to wipe out the Apache stronghold known as "La Spina Dorsale Del Diavolo", the Devil's Backbone. Kaleb has his pick of the men at the fort. They include dynamite expert Reynolds (Chuck Conners), who also is a priest; knife-fighting expert Jackson (Woody Strode); and grizzled veteran Schmidt (Albert Salmi). Most of the men hate Kaleb. A blustery Englishman Crawford (Ian Bannen) sent by the British Army to study frontier tactics, and young army Lt. Ferguson (Brandon De Wilde), volunteer to go along. Kaleb leads them into the desert to train them for the mission. It is severe, and result in some deaths. The band also encounters Apaches, who they kill. On their return to the fort, Major Brown reveals that, despite the general’s amnesty offer, he intends to arrest Kaleb for having shot him two years ago. In response the general orders Brown to accompany Kaleb on the mission. Brown cannot disobey. Natchai and Tattinger go along as well. They cross the border. After smaller skirmishes there is a fierce battle with the main body of the Apache troops. Kaleb's elite force wins, in large part due to the advantages proffered by dynamite and machine gun fire. The victorious survivors return to the fort, where an embarrassed General Miles explains that despite his amnesty offer he has been ordered to arrest Kaleb. Colonel Brown suggests the resolution: they will all say Kaleb was killed in action at the Devil's Backbone. Kaleb mounts up and rides away from the fort back into the desert. ****************************** COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. ¿o no?
