WTF Happened To The Strangers: Prey At Night? 11:57
WTF Happened To The Strangers: Prey At Night?
If you're someone easily frightened by horror movies, finding comfort in the notion that it's just fiction becomes challenging when the storyline is rooted in reality. The horror genre has its share of films supposedly based on true stories, and in 2008, Bryan Bertino's cult classic, The Strangers, added to this list. Starring Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman, the movie drew inspiration from actual crime cases and the director's own experiences. Its success led to a sequel, albeit after a considerable wait. With the bar set high by the first installment in the home-invasion genre, the question arose: could the sequel, titled The Strangers: Prey at Night, surpass the original in terror? Join us on a journey to unravel what transpired in this chilling road trip to hell. WATCH OR OWN THE FILM HERE: https://bit.ly/3TTu6YG Written by: Adam Walton Edited by: Jamie Vasquez Narrated by: Adam Walton Produced by: John Fallon and Andrew Hatfield Executive produced by: Berge Garabedian SERIES SYNOPSIS: Hollywood has had its fair share of historically troubled productions. Whether it was casting changes, actor deaths, fired directors, in-production rewrites, constant delays, budget cuts or studio edits, these films had every intention to be a blockbuster but were beset with unforeseen disasters. Sometimes huge hits, sometimes box office bombs. Either way, we have to ask: WTF Happened To This Horror Movie?
Late Phases: Werewolf Horror You Need To See 10:50
Late Phases: Werewolf Horror You Need To See
Zombie movies? Can’t shake a stick without knocking a minimum of 20 quality ones out of a tree. You want vampires? Tell me the decade and the type and I’ll give you recommendations to keep you going for weeks. Werewolves? Well, for some reason, the werewolf falls in with his other universal monster counterparts The Mummy, Frankenstein, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon as creatures that should have a lot more entries come to mind. I’m not saying that there aren’t any, quite the contrary. I can tell you quite a few must see werewolf movies that you all probably know but the list is not nearly as deep as the other monsters mentioned above. Late Phases, also known under the stupidly generic title of Night of the Wolf, does a lot of interesting things while being a thoroughly enjoyable and almost arthouse movie which more than qualifies as a Best Horror Movie You Never Saw. WATCH OR OWN THE FILM HERE: https://bit.ly/3T7uL8b Written by: Andrew Hatfield Edited by: Paul Bookstaber Narrated by: Kier Gomes Produced by: John Fallon and Tyler Nichols Executive produced by: Berge Garabedian SERIES SYNOPSIS: Our Best Horror Movie You Never Saw series is dedicated to highlighting horror films that, for one reason or another, don't get as much love as we think they should. We know plenty of you horror hounds out there will have seen many of the movies we pick, but there will be plenty of you who have not. What Happened To The Devil's Advocate with Keanu Reeves? 12:47
What Happened To The Devil's Advocate with Keanu Reeves?
The late 1990s had an odd fascination with the Devil and the end of days that gave audiences all kinds of crazy films with varied levels of success. Most of these seemed to come out right around 1999, the end of the millennium when people were starting to panic. However, some of these end of days films came out earlier and set the trend. 1997 was an odd year that saw the release of Dante’s Peak, The Devil’s Own, Volcano, the original Open Your Eyes, Seven Years in Tibet, and a bunch more. There was a trend for the end of days, but also a search for religion which then led to the perfect storm of both with The Devil’s Advocate, a bit end of days, a bit of religious mayhem, and a whole lot of cautionary tale. WTF Happened to TOM GREEN? 15:42
WTF Happened to TOM GREEN?
Tom Green has cancer. It is early 2000, and he is about to go under because he would like to educate you on the world of testicular cancer, and if you can see his internal organs while doing so, so be it. And so there he is at 28 years old in a hospital gown, making jokes while medical professionals get ready to chop off one of his nuts. “This is going to fucking suck,” he says. But, if we know anything about him, it’s that nothing is off-limits for Tom Green. It was the ultimate combination of tragedy and comedy; you have a young man in his prime facing death while telling the world's greatest testicle joke. This comedian turned cancer into performance art, which made me believe God might have a twisted sense of humor... kinda like Tom Green himself. The dude revolutionized a breed of comedy that borders on anarchy, using the boob tube reveal just how wild and crazy the world can be... all you need is a warrior clown poet willing to go beyond the punch line. The comedy stylizing of Tom Green consists of gross-out reality-based chaos with flare from old-school hip hop and energy from punk rock skateboard culture. But are these jokes still funny? Was Tom Green misunderstood and ahead of his time? Was he trying to tell us something about the human condition through tom foolery and disgusting shenanigans? Is this man still out there influencing the masses? So yeah WTF Happened to...TOM GREEN? WTF Happened to Cloud Atlas? 16:27
WTF Happened to Cloud Atlas?
Regarding the most polarizing cinematic visions in the past decade or so, it’s hard not to think of Cloud Atlas - the ambitious, centuries-spanning Sci-Fi epic directed by Tom Tykver and the Wachowskis. Also recorded as one of the most expensive independent films ever produced, the bold spiritual journey at the heart of Cloud Atlas divided audiences down the middle, leaving many to scratch their heads and ponder what the fate of the characters meant in the end. After all, the star-studded ensemble cast played multiple roles in the film across various timelines, with the story spanning from 1849 to 2321 in ways that intrinsically crossover and connect to a cerebral puzzle piece for viewers to solve. As such, a movie like Cloud Atlas warrants repeat viewings like no other. Although recent reappraisals of the film have been more favorable in retrospect, a lot went into the making of Cloud Atlas that even the most hardcore fanatics may have missed. Between the development of the project, independent financing, and rising budgetary costs, to the altered shooting schedule resulting from an A-list injury, last-minute character changes, and casting decisions, to the division of directorial labor, musical compositions, and Warner Bros. nearly abandoning the project several times, why not look up to the sky and wonder once and for all…What The F*ck Happened to Cloud Atlas!
