Rita Lee & Roberto: Saúde Especial (Completo e restaurado) 54:22
Rita Lee & Roberto: Saúde Especial (Completo e restaurado)
Heart - Magic Man (1976) • TopPop 02:54
Heart - Magic Man (1976) • TopPop
Heart is an American rock band formed in 1970 in Seattle, Washington by Steve Fossen (bass guitar), Roger Fisher (guitar), David Belzer (keyboards), and Jeff Johnson (drums). It evolved from an existing band, White Heart. Since 1973 the vocalists for Heart have been sisters Ann Wilson (lead vocals, flute, guitar) (born June 19, 1950) and Nancy Wilson (vocals, guitar, mandolin) (born March 16, 1954). Over Heart's history, it has had three primary lineups. Heart first found success when its members moved to Canada, in part to avoid the draft, then later in the United States, and ultimately worldwide. Heart rose to fame in the mid-1970s with music influenced by hard rock and heavy metal, as well as folk music. The band's popularity declined in the early 1980s, but they launched a successful comeback in 1985 which continued into the 1990s, releasing numerous hard-rock songs and ballads. Heart disbanded in 1998, then resumed performing in 2002. In the summer of 2019, Heart ended their 2016 acrimonious break-up by launching their "Love Alive" tour. To date, Heart has sold over 35 million records worldwide, including over 22.5 million in album sales in the U.S. They have had top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2010s. Bob Marley and the Wailers were in the Netherlands during his "Rastaman Vibrations" tour for his first Dutch concert in the Jaap Edenhal in Amsterdam on June 13, 1976, the first of the five concerts Marley ever gave in the Netherlands. During this concert 'Roots, Rock, Reggae' was the last song on the set and 'Positive Vibration' was the first encore. The concert ended with 'Get Up Stand Up / War / No More Trouble'. This exclusive Toppop video was recorded in a studio in Nederhorst den Berg near Hilversum in June 1976. Fortunately, the Toppop recordings have been preserved. They have been used by director Kevin Macdonald for his famous and acclaimed documentary about Bob Marley, entitled 'Marley' from 2012. The recording is, as most Toppop video's, a lip-synch recording. Thanks to our viewer Javier Ochoa, this is the line-up in the video: Bob Marley, vocal, rhythm guitar Carlton Barrett, drums Aston Barrett, bass Earl "Chinna" Smith, lead guitar Donald Kinsey, lead guitar Tyrone Downie, keyboards Alvin Patterson, percussion The I-Threes: Rita Marley, Judy Mowatt and Marcia Griffiths, backing vocals Watch our great music videos ❯ https://goo.gl/feVLNN More TopPop? Electric Light Orchestra - Evil Woman • TopPop
The Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1970 by songwriters-multi-instrumentalists Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood with drummer Bev Bevan. Their music is characterised by a fusion of Beatlesque pop, classical arrangements and futuristic iconography.[3] After Wood's departure in 1972, Lynne became the band's sole leader, arranging and producing every album while writing nearly all of their original material. For their initial tenure, Lynne, Bevan and keyboardist Richard Tandy were the group's only consistent members. ELO was formed out of Lynne's and Wood's desire to create modern rock and pop songs with classical overtones. It derived as an offshoot of Wood's previous band, the Move, of which Lynne and Bevan were also members. During the 1970s and 1980s, ELO released a string of top 10 albums and singles, including two LPs that reached the top of British charts: the disco-inspired Discovery (1979) and the science-fiction-themed concept album Time (1981). In 1986 Lynne lost interest in the band and disbanded the group. Bevan responded by forming his own band, ELO Part II, which later became the Orchestra. After a brief reunion from 2000–01, ELO remained largely inactive until 2014, when Lynne re-formed the band again with Tandy as Jeff Lynne's ELO. This Toppop recording by ELO featuring Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan was made in ELO's studio n Birmingham and first broadcast by Toppop on December 5, 1975 Watch our great music videos ❯ https://goo.gl/feVLNN More TopPop? Johnny Wakelin (Brighton, 1939) is a British singer. Wakelin was born in 1939 in Brighton, Sussex. He was discovered on the local singing circuit by Robin Blanchflower, who launched Carl Douglas' career. In 1974, Wakelin got the idea to write a song about a legendary boxing match, The Rumble in the Jungle, between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman that would take place on October 30, 1974 in Zaire. However, the song Black Superman was not a success. However, the follow-up to this song, called In Zaire, became a worldwide success. After this, Wakelin also had a hit with Africa Man. The Cats - One Way Wind - Back Home - 17-7-1971 • TopPop
The Cats were a pop group from Volendam, a small fisherman's town in The Netherlands. They were one of the most successful bands in the Netherlands from 1968 to 1975. The band’s original line up was Cees Veerman, Piet Veerman, Arnold Mühren, Jaap Schilder, Theo Klouwer and (from 1972 to 1975) Piet Keizer. They developed an original music sound that received the name ‘palingsound’ This style inspired many other Volendam artists, such as Maddog, Left Side, Next One and BZN. 'One way wind' is a song written by Arnold Mühren. Mühren got his inspiration for this song during a tour through Suriname and the Netherlands Antilles, when he first saw wind trees that grow with the wind. The Cats released it in the summer of 1971. It eventually became their best-selling single, while the single did not take first place in the Dutch and Belgian charts. In Germany alone, more than a million copies of the single were sold. In the Netherlands, 130,000 copies of the single were sold. This song was recorded and broadcast in the TV program Back Home on 17 July 1971. Missing Persons - Destination Unknown • TopPop
Missing Persons is an American rock band. The band was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, vocalist Dale Bozzio, and drummer Terry Bozzio. They later added bassist Patrick O'Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild. Dale's quirky voice and heavy makeup made the band a favorite on MTV in the early 1980s. "Destination Unknown" is a song by American band Missing Persons. It was written by Dale Bozzio, Terry Bozzio, and Warren Cuccurullo with production by Ken Scott. Originally released on the band's self-titled EP (1980), the song was released as a single in September 1982 and appeared on their debut studio album Spring Session M (1982). In the United States, it was a minor hit spending 13 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, narrowly missing the Top 40 and peaking at #42 in November 1982. This song is used in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories on Flash FM. The song is also played at the end of Season 2, episode 7, titled "Nothing Shattered," of the NetFlix series GLOW.
