Casablanca Records released it as the album's second single on June 23, 1979. The song was produced by Summer's regular collaborators Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, and co-written by Summer and the members of Brooklyn Dreams, Bruce Sudano, Joe "Bean" Esposito and Edward "Eddie" Hokenson. "Bad Girls" was a massive success, peaking within the Top 10 of the charts in seven countries, including New Zealand and Spain. In the United States, it spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, from the weeks of July 14 to August 11, 1979, and sold over two million copies, simultaneously becoming, alongside "Hot Stuff", her most successful single. It helped the Bad Girls album to reach multi-platinum status in the United States. The inspiration for Summer to write "Bad Girls" came after one of her assistants was offended by a police officer who thought she was a prostitute. A rough version of the song had originally been written a couple of years before its release. Casablanca Records' founder Neil Bogart, upon hearing it, wanted Summer to give it to Cher. Summer refused and put it away for a couple of years. "Bad Girls" was nominated for Favorite Pop/Rock Single, and won for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, at the American Music Awards of 1980. Summer was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Disco Recording at the 22nd Annual Grammy Awards. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Girls_(Donna_Summer_song) Remastered in 4K No copyright infringement intended. #Camel #SongWithinaSong #Aristillus #Moonmadness #Remastered #Live #HD #4K ???? Subscribe & Turn on notifications to stay updated with new uploads! Moonmadness is the fourth studio album by English progressive rock band Camel. It was released in April 1976 on Decca and Gama Records and is their last album recorded by the group's original line-up of Andrew Latimer, Peter Bardens, Doug Ferguson, and Andy Ward. After reaching success with their previous album, the all instrumental The Snow Goose, the band started on a follow-up and incorporated vocals and lyrics to the new music. Moonmadness has a loose concept with one track based on the personality of each band member: "Air Born" for Andrew Latimer, "Chord Change" for Peter Bardens, "Another Night" for Doug Ferguson, and "Lunar Sea" for Andy Ward. In 2018, 43 years after its release, Camel performed the album live in its entirety: At the apex of their career in 1975, Camel performed at The Royal Albert Hall to a sold out crowd. A mere six years later, Andrew Latimer was the sole surviving member. Camel were written off by the music industry as a "dinosaur". 43 years later, Camel returned to 'The Albert' for another sold out show. An intensely personal performance, it showcases the current line up which has been applauded by many as the best in the band's long history. Camel's popularity grew in 1975 with their critically acclaimed instrumental album The Snow Goose, which was followed by the group voted Britain's Brightest Hope by readers of the nationwide music publication Melody Maker. In late 1975, the band spent three weeks writing new music for a follow-up album, and recorded Moonmadness in January and February 1976. At the time of release, Latimer said he was very pleased with the album despite the need to rush to finish it. The last track, "Lunar Sea", ends with a minute-long wind-blowing effect. On some LP pressings, the record arm would skip during the end of this part and naturally return to the beginning of the effect, playing it endlessly (the "terminal groove" effect). In the Q & Mojo Classic Special Edition Pink Floyd & The Story of Prog Rock, the album came number 23 in its list of "40 Cosmic Rock Albums". It was voted no. 58 in the Top 100 Prog albums of All Time by readers of 'Prog' magazine in 2014. Camel performed the album in its entirety on a 2018 tour. The song reached the top of the charts in many European and Scandinavian countries. "Der Kommissar" was written by producer Robert Ponger and intended for Reinhold Bilgeri. Bilgeri rejected it, as he felt the song was too soft, so Falco reworked the song for himself instead. Falco wanted to release "Helden von heute" as the main side (A-side), but the record company wanted "Der Kommissar" to be released, because they felt it had more potential. The record company decided upon a double A-side release and was vindicated when "Der Kommissar" reached No. 1 in German-speaking countries in January 1982. After this success, Falco's management decided to release "Der Kommissar" (as an A-side) in other countries as well. Irene Cara - What A Feeling (Extended) (Live Footage) [Remastered in HD]
#irenecara,#whatafeeling,#remastered,#hd,#flashdance ???? Subscribe & Turn on notifications to stay updated with new uploads! "Flashdance... What a Feeling" is a song from the 1983 film Flashdance with music by Giorgio Moroder and lyrics by Keith Forsey and the song's performer, Irene Cara. Moroder had been asked to score the film, and Cara and Forsey wrote most of the lyrics after they were shown the last scene from it in which the main character dances at an audition for a group of judges. They felt that the dancer's ambition to succeed could act as a metaphor for achieving any dream a person has and wrote lyrics that described what it feels like when music inspires someone to dance. The song wound up being used for the scene they watched as well as during the opening credits as the main character is shown working as a welder. Their collaboration was the first single to be released from the soundtrack album and received positive reviews. Because Flashdance was going to be released in mid-April of that year, Casablanca Records made the single available in March as a way of marketing the film to the target audience. The unexpected success at the box office resulted in stores across the US selling out of both the single and its parent album just days after Flashdance was in theaters. The song spent six weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts around the world. It was awarded Gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of one million copies and won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Song and earned Cara the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. "We All Need Love" is a single released by the Italian Eurodance group Double You in 1992. The song was originally written and recorded by Canadian rock musician Domenic Troiano in 1979. It had also been covered by Ebony in 1983, and by Karen J. Ann in 1988. The Double You version was recorded in 1992. It was the band's second single from its debut album, We All Need Love, released the same year, and confirmed the worldwide success of Double You. It peaked at number-one in Belgium and became a Top 10 hit in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. There were various formats, including many remixes. The music video of "We All Need Love" was directed by Italian director Giacomo De Simone. De Simone has directed music videos for many other Eurodance acts, like Corona, Ice MC and Whigfield. Larry Flick from Billboard commented, "Italo-pop/house act lunges for crossover radio approval with a cute, retro-minded disco twirler. An anthemic chorus and old-fashioned string and piano fills give the song charm." Andy Beevers from Music Week said the song is "great", adding that "it has a very similar organ-driven poppy disco sound and should give them the success they deserve. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_All_Need_Love Remastered in 4K No copyright infringement intended. The Farm - All Together Now {VJ's Edit} (TOTP) [4K]
#TheFarm #AllTogetherNow #Remastered #HD #4K #TopOfThePops #TOTP ???? Subscribe & Turn on notifications to stay updated with new uploads "All Together Now" is a song by British band the Farm, released in November 1990 as the second single from their debut album, Spartacus (1991). Peter Hooton wrote the lyrics in his early 20s, after reading about the Christmas truce of 1914. The song was first recorded under the title "No Man's Land" for a John Peel session in 1983. In 1990, Hooton wrote the chorus after Steve Grimes suggested putting the lyrics of "No Man's Land" to the chord progression of Pachelbel's Canon. To shorten the song for radio, the producer Suggs cut the song to three verses from its original six. Its accompanying music video received heavy rotation on MTV Europe. "All Together Now" has been used by numerous football teams since, as well as by the Labour Party for their 2017 general election campaign, often played during rallies. The song was produced by Suggs, a founding member of the band Madness, and recorded at Mayfair Studios. The lyrics were written about the Christmas Day Truce in World War I where, on Christmas Day 1914, soldiers from both sides put their weapons down, and met in no mans land to exchange gifts and play football. The song has a chord sequence taken directly from Johann Pachelbel's "Canon". It was originally released on 26 November 1990 peaking at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart, No. 1 on the NME Independent chart and No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. Its single cover showed a Subbuteo figure wearing an army uniform and brandishing a Bren machine gun. It was also the last video shown on The Power Station on 8 April 1991. Stephen Thomas Erlewine from AllMusic called "All Together Now" "goofily endearing" and "truly memorable". Larry Flick from American magazine Billboard declared it as "anthemic". A reviewer from Daily Mirror named it one of 1990's "most memorable songs" and "such a catchy song". Jon Wilde from Melody Maker wrote, "1990 has seen the inexplicable rise of The Ordinary Bloke. They don't come any more ordinary than the Farm, who look for all the world like a collection of bit actors in Northern soap operas, the kind of geezers you find hanging about by the pub dart-board scoffing salt and vinegar crisps as burly Betty Turpin types fetch hither mixers from the cellar. Their 15 seconds of minor celebrity will surely be up once the general public get wind of this ruthlessly awful rock dirge with dancefloor pretensions." Another editor, Bob Stanley, complimented the song as "excellent" and a "enjoyable moment" of the album. Andrew Collins from NME named it "easily this LP's grandest moment" and "one of 1990's most durable hits, a scarfs-out-for-the-lads 'Abide with Me' for last orders." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Together_Now_(The_Farm_song) Remastered in 4K No copyright infringement intended. Thomas Dolby - She Blinded Me With Science [Remastered in HD]
#ThomasDolby,#SheBlindedMeWithScience,#hd,#remastered ???? Subscribe & Turn on notifications to stay updated with new uploads! "She Blinded Me with Science" is a song by the English musician Thomas Dolby, released in 1982. It was first released as a single in the UK in October 1982. It was subsequently included on the EP Blinded by Science[3] and the 1983 re-release of Dolby's debut album The Golden Age of Wireless. Although viewed as a success in the United States, peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 2 weeks at No. 1 in Canada's RPM Magazine, the song barely managed to score among the Top 60 in Dolby's native United Kingdom, peaking at No. 56 in the UK Singles Chart in 1983. Dolby is often considered a one-hit wonder in the United States on the basis of the song's chart success there. In 2002, US cable television network VH1 named "She Blinded Me with Science" No. 20 on its list of the "100 Greatest One-hit Wonders". While the song is Dolby's only Top 40 single on the Billboard Hot 100, he has had other songs that scored on the music charts. In 2006, VH1 placed it at No. 76 on their list of "Greatest Songs of the '80s". Then, in 2009, it ranked No. 13 on VH1's "100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80s" list. The song features interjections from the British scientist and TV presenter Magnus Pyke, who repeatedly interjects "Science!" and delivers other lines in a deliberately caricatured mad scientist manner, such as, "Good heavens, Miss Sakamoto, you're beautiful!" The video for "She Blinded Me with Science" was conceived and storyboarded before the song was written.[8] Dolby added the song title, wrote the song to fit the planned video, and then directed the music video.
