A couple of weeks ago, on April 20, 2021, singer Les McKeown of the Bay City Rollers died. McKeown was born on 12 November 1955, Edinburgh, Scotland). To commemorate him, we publish this video of one of the Rollers biggest hits. The Bay City Rollers are a Scottish pop rock band known for their worldwide teen idol popularity in the 1970s. They have been called the "tartan teen sensations from Edinburgh" and "the first of many acts heralded as the 'biggest group since the Beatles'". The group's line-up had many changes over the years, but the classic line-up during its heyday included guitarists Eric Faulkner and Stuart Wood, singer Les McKeown, bassist Alan Longmuir, and drummer Derek Longmuir. The current lineup (since 2018) includes original guitarist Stuart "Woody" Wood, singer Ian Thomson, bassist Marcus Cordock, and drummer Jamie McGrory. Silver Convention were a West German Euro disco recording act of the 1970s. The group was originally named Silver Bird Convention or Silver Bird. The group was formed in Munich by producers and songwriters Sylvester Levay and Michael Kunze. Silver was Sylvester's nickname. In 1974 they had a hit in the UK with the song Save me. Since it was originally a studio group, from that moment on, singers were sought to perform. Linda G. Thompson (Linda Übelherr), Penny McLean (Gertrude Wirshinger) and Ramona Wulf (Ramona Kraft) were hired. Lindsey Adams Buckingham (born October 3, 1949) is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and producer, best known as the former lead guitarist and male lead singer of the music group Fleetwood Mac from 1975 to 1987 and 1997 to 2018. In addition to his tenure with Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham has released six solo albums and three live albums. As a member of Fleetwood Mac, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. Buckingham was ranked 100th in Rolling Stone's 2011 list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time". Buckingham is known for his fingerpicking guitar style.
