Another Konami side-scrolling brawler, this time from 1993. I don't if it's simply coincidence, but this game reminded me of The Punisher, released the same year by Capcom. The two main things that make Violent Storm stand out are the frantic pacing of the combat and rocking soundtrack; this is a fast-paced brawler that never lets up, and it's all the better for it.

This is also the only game I've played where a piglet becomes an offensive weapon...
