I'd seen news floating around the internet that some folks had created a conversion of the Sega Master System version of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Commodore 64. The screenshots I'd seen looked pretty good, but nothing could prepare me for just how amazing this conversion really is - I owned the Game Gear version back in the day, and it's truly remarkable how close this comes to the original. The graphics are superb, the effects brilliant, but above all, the gameplay is absolutely spot on!

The game does require use of a RAM expansion unit (REU) cartridge, but it's still an incredible achievement.
