LIVE: Israel Bombs Gaza, Israel-Hamas Gun Battles In Border Towns, Iran Calls For OIC Meeting

Israeli bombings on Monday morning caused explosions and thick black smoke to blanket the Gaza City skyline amid gun battles between Hamas fighters and Israeli forces in southern Israel. Hamas says the group is holding more than 100 Israelis captive in Gaza, while the Israeli military is amassing 100,000 reserve troops near the Gaza fence. The UN Security Council's closed emergency session failed to put out a joint statement. Meanwhile, Iran has called for an emergency meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
