* Foi um cantor e compositor inglês.
* Trabalhou em diversos serviços administrativos e como professor de inglês e teatro. Uma de suas alunas foi esposa do cantor Sting.
* A canção "Gaye" vendeu mais de um milhão de cópias em todo o mundo.
* Em 1987, Ward foi diagnosticado com esclerose múltipla.
* Em novembro de 2001, Ward contraiu pneumonia e morreu algumas semanas depois.
