Halloween is here once again, so I thought I'd give this little C64 obscurity the longplay treatment.

The objective is to assist Frankenstein's erstwhile bride-to-be in her quest to reanimate her future husband by locating enough body parts to give Frankie a new lease of life. Once that's done, you must find a plug, then give him a zap of juice to jump-start him into action. Said organs can be harvested from unwitting victims chained up in the dungeon, digging up graves, or cracking open various sarcophagi with a pickaxe.

As you might expect, many of these items are kept out of reach behind locked doors, and the castle dungeon is a real maze to get lost in. Only certain keys can open certain doors, so there's plenty of backtracking to be done here as you work out which key fits each lock.

If that weren't bad enough, our heroine has a fairly limited amount of energy in which to complete task, represented by the green potion vial. This can be topped off by finding a green potion vat, but it's all to easy to run out of stamina whilst wandering the castle corridors.

I can't say the game is much fun; too much wandering and too easy to die. I owned a copy of Frankenstein Junior back in the day, a semi-sequel that was practically the same game, albeit with a different sprite and little else.
