I'd long since left the C64 behind by the time this game came out, but I have to say it's rather impressive. Presentation is very good, and it somehow manages to capture the look and feel of the console versions (particularly the Sega Genesis), which is no mean feat.

Unfortunately, it's all just a little bit bland. There are too few enemies, the time just a tad too aggressive, and some levels are entirely devoid of xenomorphs for some reason.

Oh, and if you're wondering about the "Guardian" boss fights, Ripley doesn't take damage when touching the alien; only it's acid spit damages her. All you have to do is jump over the projectile, run through the alien, then pump some grenades into its behind!
